A Bosch sander is designed for dependability and workplace performance. Whether your job is finishing furniture, removing rust, or putting the perfect shine on a classic automobile, Bosch sander tools are designed to help you get the job done as quickly as possible. What is important is that you choose the right type of sander for the job, or have a selection available, because a palm sander will never perform well where a belt sander was called for.
Bosch Belt Sanders
Two of the most popular aspects of a Bosch belt sander are the compact in-line design, and the ability to perform at rates up to 1100 square feet per minute. Ball bearing construction means a long lifespan, even under heavy work conditions, and the quick change belt allows you to spend more time getting work done than getting to do it. Weighing only 7.8 pounds, this sander even includes a variable speed setting for long, even sanding paths.

Bosch Random Orbit Sanders
The small but powerful Bosch random orbit sander is capable of putting out as much as 13000 orbits per minute on any surface. The variable speed dial allows you to adjust the setting according to the task at hand, and it even has a convenient trigger lock for continuous operation. One of the most popular features is the adjustable handle which can be folded flush for sanding exceptionally tight spots.
Bosch Palm Sanders
The 5 pound Bosch palm sander is an orbital sander designed for both aggressive stock removal and swirl-free final finishes. It uses patented through-the-pad dust removal to keep your work area clean and reduce the possibility of scratches or gouging. The ergonomic soft grip is perfect for working on tedious jobs, and the microfilter dust collector reduces airborne contaminants.
Bosch Detail Sanders
A detail sander has to be able to get the job done quickly, and the Bosch detail sander orbits up to 19000 OPM to give you the smoothest finish possible. The soft grip is ergonomically designed, and the design allows for tool-free pad changes. Weighing a mere 2.4 pounds, this detail sander can be used for hours without becoming uncomfortable, and is built to work as long as you need it to.
When reading through Bosch sander reviews, it is important to keep in mind that the company has a long standing reputation in the construction field. Many of those who participate in consumer reviews of sanders use them on a daily basis in commercial and industrial occupations. The company's reach in residential markets only began a few years ago, but is based on products that have been popular in field use for may years.

Bosch 1274DVS 6.6 Amp 3-Inch by 21-Inch Variable Speed In-Line Belt Sander with Cloth Dust Bag Overview
Well-executed design combined with solid, reliable performance make this Bosch belt sander a tool with noticeable performance advantages. The Bosch features a magnesium-and-plastic housing that's lightweight yet durable. The tool is nicely balanced, comfortable, and easy to operate--important features in a tool that's often used for long periods of time for removing large amounts of stock. The Bosch comes with a cast-aluminum platen--so there's none of the warping that affects stamped-steel platens--and it sands perfectly flat right out of the box. Like many of the sanders in this class, the motor on the 1274 is aligned with the belt edge to allow flush sanding into corners. The tool's only drawback is that visibility is limited when sanding into tight corners, but that's a small minus when weighed against all the pluses. The belt-changing system works well--we didn't suffer any spring pinches--and the tracking adjustment tracks the new belt quickly and keeps it in place. There's a variable-speed dial built right into the trigger switch, which makes adjusting the belt speed fast and convenient. Wood magazine tested 10 3-by-21-inch sanders and liked the 1274DVS best. We agree that it's a great tool.Bosch 1274DVS 6.6 Amp 3-Inch by 21-Inch Variable Speed In-Line Belt Sander with Cloth Dust Bag Specifications
